The Agrodome offers visitors an experience like no other – seeing through the eyes of a true New Zealand farmer. Situated just north of Rotorua city on a scenic 160-hectare sheep and beef farm, this exciting, educational and hands-on experience is one not to be missed.

Agrodome Woollen Mill

Witness a 1906 wool carding machine which is still working after nearly a century.  View a large range of homespun, hand knitted woven garments made from pure New Zealand wool, a majority of which are hand made by Rotorua locals.  Carding and spinning demonstrations run throughout the day.   

 

Combine the best of New Zealand Agriculture with the Agrodome Combo. Be part of the World Famous Show where you will meet a real Kiwi Shearer. During this multi award winning show you will be entertained and informed as he introduces 19 breeds of champion sheep, shears a sheep, works the dogs and completes the NZ dog trial. You may have the opportunity during the show to milk a cow, feed a lamb and even buy a sheep!

 

Shearing Shed Museum

A recreated 1950’s era shearing shed with a wide range of equipment such as grinders, wool presses and other shearing paraphernalia from the 1950’s era.  Museum includes a DVD theatre featuring old shearing footage.  Open from 8:30am to 5:00pm daily.

 

The Station House Cafe

The Station House café is based at the Agrodome and is a great place to relax and grab a coffee and cake. This cosy and comfortable café provides a great range of café style food and beverages.
